Yanay Puente is a bilingual (Spanish and English) Licensed Professional Counselor Associate.

Yanay earned her bachelor’s in psychology in 2009 from Havana University, Cuba. She worked with victims of domestic abuse, parents of adolescents with challenging behaviors, and people of all ages struggling with anxiety, depression, and addictions. She also worked as a registered behavior technician providing behavior therapy to children with autism and Down Syndrome. 

Yanay earned her master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2019 at Hodges University in Naples, Florida. She worked in an intensive outpatient facility counseling individuals struggling with addiction and other mental health challenges.

Yanay uses a humanistic approach to therapy and life. She understands that each of us is unique, with individual struggles and extraordinary potentialities.  

Yanay uses a person-centered, solution-focused approach. Instead of giving you advice, she helps you find your own solutions to your problems. She believes in your capacity to grow. Yanay uses Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Neuro-Linguistic Programming NLP as forms of brief therapy.

Her passions are reading, gardening, good food, and yoga.
