HeeJu Matuszak a dedicated and compassionate practicum student who is under the supervision of Maria Benezra, MA, SPC-S at Greater Houston Counseling Services.
HeeJu understands the importance of providing a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings. She aims to foster a trusting, therapeutic relationship where clients feel heard, validated, and supported.
HeeJu's approach to therapy is rooted in empathy, active listening, and helping clients develop healthier ways to face challenges. She aims to identify the unique needs of each individual, recognizing that no two journeys are the same. By utilizing evidence-based techniques and diverse therapeutic approaches, she hopes to empower clients to develop effective coping strategies, gain insight into their emotions, and achieve personal growth.
HeeJu works with clients facing a wide range of challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and life transitions.
HeeJu attended Crown College and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in Counseling. She will be graduating with her Master's degree in Counseling in May of 2024.
HeeJu is a counselor who is dedicated to the well-being of adults, children, couples, and families. She believes that everyone has the capacity to overcome challenges and lead fulfilling lives, and she is committed to walking alongside you every step of the way.
