Catherine is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner. She received her undergraduate nursing degree from Arkansas Tech University, her Master’s of Science in Nursing from University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, and Post-Masters specializing in psychiatry.
With six years with a psychiatric nurse experience and two years with an Family Nurse practitioner experience, she has treated patients with acute and chronic depression, anxiety and panic, ADHD, bipolar disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and psychosis, among others. She appreciates the importance of the patient-clinician relationship, creating a safe and non-judgmental environment to facilitate healing. Catherine is perceptive; her approach with every patient is addressing the root cause of each condition while providing the utmost care. She seeks to promote total health and wellness - the process of enabling patients to have increased control and management of their health. Her ultimate goal is enhancing emotional, social/relational, environmental, physical, occupational, intellectual, and spiritual wellness - while judiciously utilizing pharmacotherapy and/or psychotherapy. She is a member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau, and the American Nurses Association. |
