Tori Velez is an LPC Associate under the supervision of Christina Runnels, MA, LPC-S, LCDC, and PMH-C. She received her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of St. Thomas. While serving in the United States Navy, she received her BA in Psychology from Southern New Hampshire University. 
 
In therapy, Tori builds on the person-centered approach foundation while highlighting topics such as mind/body/soul connection and existential pieces.

As your therapist, Tori will meet you where you currently are and assist you in discovering and exploring your truth. She always maintains a safe space so that you feel comfortable with addressing current obstacles and challenges in your life. Tori will also assist you with releasing unhealthy beliefs and unwanted behaviors through open dialogue, empty chair work, experiential activities, and somatic therapy. She has experience working with trauma, grief, loss, birth issues, mood disorders, anxiety, spiritual exploration, sex-related issues, and health changes. Tori has experience working with adults in individual, group, and couple settings.  
 
Tori offers heart-centered hypnotherapy to guide and assist you with exploring deep inner-child wounds and past traumas that have resulted in unhealthy beliefs and behaviors. These unwanted beliefs may have resulted in addictive behaviors, guilt, shame, regret, and masking. As your therapist, Tori will assist and collaborate with you through the journey of finding closure, inner peace, and hope. 
 
Tori understands that it can be scary to take that first step in your journey towards healing, and she wants to acknowledge you for that!
