T'Kea McClendon obtained a bachelor's degree in Social Welfare in May 2015 from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee and recently completed a Master's in Clinical Psychology in May 2022 at Cardinal Stritch University. Being motivated to promote changes and assist families and individuals in need, she decided to pursue a field that revolves around providing counseling and clinical services to treat behavioral, emotional, and mental disorders.
T'Kea is currently working as a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and is pursuing a PhD in Leadership for the Advancement of Learning & Service in Health Care. She is licensed to practice in Texas and Georgia and is actively involved in addressing mental health and behavioral issues and evaluating or diagnosing emotional and mental disorders faced by individuals. She also has experience administering and writing reports for several Cognitive assessments including BINS, BDI-2, PLS-5, WJ-III, PCL-5 and KBIT2.
Having a deep-rooted passion for what she does, T'Kea has experience working with individuals, groups, families, children, veterans, and refugees. She has also interned and worked in several settings, including psychiatric hospitals, private practice, and schools.
Being newer to TX, she loves to spend her free time exploring the city with her son and trying new foods.
She is currently under the LPC Supervision of Donna Gibbs, MA, LPC-S.
