What To Expect During Therapy

We know, on TV and in the movies, therapy is often portrayed as a cry fest or space where you’re judged by someone for your decisions. When you visit Greater Houston Counseling Services, you’re entering a judgement free zone. While we do welcome your emotions and encourage you to express them in any way that feels comfortable, you probably won’t be turning on the water works every week either. Instead, our therapists use evidence-supported therapy approaches that are proven to make a difference. You’ll work with your therapist to set goals and learn the skills to achieve them. Throughout the course of therapy sessions, you’ll learn strategies and skills to help you navigate whatever life throws at you.
