Kabir Parikh
Licensed Master Social Worker (832) 717-7166 |
Kabir Parikh is a LMSW. He graduated from University of Texas at Arlington with his Masters of Social Work degree. He has worked with children and youth in both school and clinic settings. Kabir is working under the supervision of Jessica H. Smith (LCSW-S).
Kabir’s goal is to create a safe space for the client to unmask and come as they are. He is first and foremost a collaborator in the therapy process and values his client’s experiences, needs, and desires when it comes to their sessions. He uses a humanist approach to build a strong therapeutic alliance where the client is seen with unconditional positive regard and empathy. Kabir’s style of therapy is eclectic, meaning that he pulls from different modalities like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness. Kabir is openly transgender and provides a neurodivergent-affirming and LGBTQ+ affirming space for his clients. He is open to working with people of all ages in their journeys of self discovery and acceptance. In his free time, Kabir enjoys finding new restaurants to dine in and spending time with his wife and cats. |
