Serving Clients In Spring
Hello, I am Jillian Iwasyk, MS, LPC, NCC and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have a Master of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling and a post baccalaureate certification in psychology specializing in play therapy. I am currently working on completing the required hours to become a registered play therapist (RPT) while obtaining my Ph.D. in Counseling Education and Supervision (CES) with an expected graduation date of November 2021.
As a counseling professional I greatly enjoy working with children, adolescents, college students, families, groups, and those in crisis. My theoretical orientations are multiple, including humanistic-existential and solution-focused brief therapy. I use these approaches to look at the whole person while helping clients remain true to themselves (humanistic), increase self-awareness, responsibility, and live more authentic lives (existential) while focusing on finding solutions for issues in the here and now (solution-focused). Regardless of my most often used theoretical approaches, when appropriate, I integrate spirituality and methods that match the unique needs of each of my clients. I’m a married, homeschooling mother of three. In my free time, I enjoy volunteering, reading, singing, boxing, and traveling. |
