Barbara finds great joy in working with adolescents and adults backgrounds of diverse ethnicity, faith, and worldviews. She offers individual, family, multi-family and group therapy and workshops in addressing needs in the areas of: academic success and retention, anger management, anxiety, career counseling, conflict resolution, depression, grief and loss issues, personal growth, and PTSD. Barbara views life as an exciting, dynamic growth experience and believes counseling can assist in developing, maintaining, and/or re-igniting that energy into the client’s world. Barbara strives to assist clients in finding purpose, peace and direction in their body, mind and spirit using a client-centered, eclectic and goal oriented approach.
Barbara Lewis is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor that graduated from the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with Master of Arts degrees in Marriage and Family Counseling and Religious Education. Barbara has practiced counseling in Arizona and Texas for over 25 years. Barbara graduated from the University of Houston College of Pharmacy and has practiced pharmacy for over 20 years prior to entering the counseling profession. A lover of education and helping others, Barbara spends her time out of office speaking to audiences as an inspirational speaker/educator. For pleasure and continued self-growth, Barbara spends her time reading, traveling and being actively engaged in her church and community.
