Dr. Amanda Davis, DPC, LPC is a Licensed Professional Counselor for the state of Texas. She is originally from Mississippi and has been a resident in Katy since 2016. She has over 13 years of extensive experience in the mental health field. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology in 2007 from Jackson State University (HBCU) and went on to obtain her Master of Science degree in Community Counseling in 2010 from JSU. Lastly, she obtained her Doctorate of Professional Counseling degree from Mississippi College in 2016. She has a strong desire to help others and uses a solution focused approach mixed with interventions of cognitive behavioral therapy. Dr. Davis works with individuals of all ages but her speciality is couples and adults. Her multicultural competency and ability to see different perspectives enables her to meet individuals where they are. At a young age, Dr. Davis noticed that she was always there to support those around her in their time of need and considered herself a very genuine, unique, authentic, caring, and honest individual. This observation of herself influenced her to want to help others become the best versions of themselves that they can possibly be. Over the years, Dr. Davis has continually proven her dedication to helping individuals reach their goals for improved mental and emotional well-being. Her versatile background has spanned a combination of therapeutic and leadership roles, from Director of Adult Services, Outpatient Therapist, Intellectual Disabilities Professional, and Lead Rehab Clinician. Through this work and her graduate-level training, she has developed a comprehensive understanding of psychology, human behavior, and methods for counseling individuals with wide-ranging mental health needs. Above all, she has a passion for connecting with people from all walks of life and offering her strengths to enact positive change on an individual and organizational level. Dr Davis knows it can be a different experience opening up to someone new.
