Aleyyah Ramadan-Ali, M.A., LMFT-A, is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist-Associate currently under the supervision of Jessica Barboza, LMFT-S. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and her Master’s in Counseling Psychology from the University of Saint Thomas-Minnesota. She is also certified in the Prepare and Enrich marital instrument.
Aleyyah is passionate about working with clients through the lens of interpersonal relationships and has layered expertise in the relationship dynamics that shape our everyday lives. Her philosophy is no person is an island and interpersonal relationships can either be beneficial or detrimental to mental health. She also believes that everyone is the author of his or her own story and has set her career purpose on empathetically collaborating with clients to empower them in finding their authentic voices. Her internship experience introduced her to Solution-Focused Therapy, which was applied to working with adolescents and their families in a residential setting with the goal focused on potential family reunification. She is interested in pursuing certification in play therapy and other creative forms of therapeutic expression as a means to engage children and adolescents. She would also like to build on her understanding of emotional intelligence as it pertains to usage in couples and/or family therapy. In her free time, Aleyyah enjoys reading, connecting/reconnecting with her family and friends, and observing the beauty of nature. |
